TSC 8 Offenses for Teacher interdiction and Evidence Needed
Teachers Service commission TSC at some point may take action of interdiction against a teacher found to have gone against the Code of conduct for teachers. The Commission normally takes any breach of the articles of the Code seriously and a bleach may lead to interdiction of a teacher .
Comprehensive list of TSC offences and evidence required for teacher interdiction by the Commission:
1 . Engagement in Immoral behavior
Some of the acts considered immoral include, having Sexual intercourse,sodomy,Lesbianism, Sexual, harassment ,flirtation/indecent Act, Love relationship, Exposure to pornographic materials etc .
TSC teacher interdiction Evidence required include, hand written statement from victims/witnessed, Exhibits,Love letters photographs,Gifts, Agreements , Court proceedings, Investigationreports by heads of institutions, county Directors or Sub-county Directors, Minutesof BOM following interview of pupils/students with teachers and other witnesses and the County discipline panel minutes.
2. Professional Misconduct can cause interdiction
Some if the acts considered as profession misconduct that may lead to teacher interdiction include ;
- Teacher Wilngly neglects to perform any work or careless or improper performance of any work assigned to the teacher.
- Teacher fails to teach scheduled lessons .
- Teacher fails to prepare professional documents e. g. schemes of work.
- Teacher allows examination cheating.
- Teacher used fake marks.
- Teacher fails to perform T.O.D. duties.
- Teacher fails to attend school assemblies and official meetings.
- Teacher fails to take students for official duty/functions.
TSC Evidence required to effect teacher interdiction
- Presence of Staff meeting minutes.
- copies of Police reports
- Copy of Written reports by agents/County Directors/Supervisors.
- recorded statements from witnesses.
- Written Minutes where teacher and witnesses were interviewed.
- Copy of Investigation reports.
- Presence of statement from witnesses.
3 . Chronic Absenteeism as a cause for TSC interdiction
This is the Persistent/repeated absence of teacher from duty without permission or lateness for duty

- Copy of Casualty returns
- Copy of letters from authorities reporting the teachers absence.
- Copy of monthly staff returns.
- Copy of warning/show cause letters for absenteeism.
- Copy of daily attendance registers/clock in register.
