Posting letters, according to the committee are already being sent to the owners in a number of counties. The letters were released following completion of interviews even though there have been delays in the letters’ release.
With the category of those who are newly posted and ready to report to their new station, they will start working next term since they have already received their letters.
The teachers employer first published an advertisement on teacher promotions in December 2022 for 14,738 teachers.
Upon realization on failure to draw the necessary number of applicants, the commission called for more applications in the months of January, March, and May 2023.
TSC Promotions letters for the senior teachers as of now have not yet been released by the Commission.
Most teachers who are currently serving in an acting capacity as senior teachers are still on waiting for confirmation.
Thousands of teachers that participated in promotion interviews in March and were chosen for the positions they applied for have not yet been posted based on the details with TSC database.
Same details can be accessible to which county and subcounty directors offices across the country.
The long experienced delays are as a result of money that is being granted by the Treasury that is being considered not enough to meet the required bugdet.
TSC still insists that it would keep promoting and posting the teachers as long as it receives enough funding
Even with advertisements on promotions Dr. Nancy Macharia still criticised teachers for not willing to receive promotions for not applying for the same .
Macharia charged that most instructors appeared unwilling to apply for jobs that offered advancement in other states.
According to macharia, it was realized that Promotion based localisation was a major issue that the commission had to deal with when it came to teacher advancement.
Macharia further noted that the promotions now depend on the amount of openings in a particular county.
While appearing before before the National Assembly Education Committee, macharia said that most teachers are only competing for vacancies in their own counties meaning that they are not willing to be moved to other counties.
TSC boss also observed that in order to fill posts left open by natural attrition, the teachers employer had posted 14738 job openings at the beginning of 2023.
