TSC List of Successful Teachers for 2023 Promotions out
Teachers Service Commission (TSC) issued promotions to about 16,000 teachers this year.
While effecting these promotions, the commission took into account professional development standards,the regional balance factor, gender equality and affirmative action for teachers in arid and semi-arid districts.
Successfully Promoted teachers will take positions of Deputy Director I and II, teacher Master IV, School Director, and Deputy Director II in secondary as well as elementary schools.
TSC distributed the above teacher promotions evenly across regions,as Kiambu County seeing most teachers promoted then followed by Kisii and Kakamega.
To address the shortage of assistant principals, principals and masters, the Commission established standards for the number of administrators that schools should have. Teachers who have taken on temporary roles will be given priority for promotion. The TSC boss presented a report to the Senate engagement committee on health benefits, jobs, promotions and transfers of troubled teachers.
TSC promoted a total of 6,214 instructors will move up one level plus another 5,436 who will move up two levels.
Another total of 11,258 teachers under the general framework will be promoted for the 2022-2023 classes.
TSC’s promotion interviews Currently undertaken will result in the promotion of 551 faculty members, with Kakamega having the most promotions.
Promoted teachers will be moved to higher levels and will be promoted through proactive measures and competitive promotions during the financial year.
So far, the commission has identified 7,282 elementary teachers who are ready be transferred to junior secondary schools (JSS).
