Huduma Centres to charge service fees
Kenyan government has announced plans to introduce a fee for services which are currently offered at Huduma Centres across the country as indicate by the Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria .
While give his speech on Monday after he officially took over from Aisha Jumwa as the new CS, Kuria said that this fee will be charged on both government and private sector services.

However , Kuria did not mention how much will be charged, but said that with the population of over 60,000 daily transactions, the above centres will be self-sustainable.
Kuria said that the new development is aimed at making sure the all the 52 Huduma centres countrywide are able to generate their own revenue.
He further said that these centres have depended on funding from the government but now they want to change that.He further said that this move is as a result of President William Ruto who had challenged his ministry on the issue of sustainability of the centres.
Among the services are offers at huduma centres include the renewal of driver’s licences, applications and replacement of national identity cards as well as the National Social Security Fund.
