Kericho Tea lady Four Die During Kericho Mashujaa Day Celebrations
The four passed away while undergoing treatment at the county Referral hospital.
Today at around 3 a.m, a stampede ocured at gate “C” of the Kericho Green Stadium which caused the death of four people
Police reports indicate that the four died while receiving medical care at the county referral hospital.

Mashujaa Day stampede is said to have been caused by a lady who was selling tea outside the stadium who is said to have accidentally spilled hot tea in the fire near along the public road.
The act resulted in a public panic which was mistaken for a teargas thrown to them by the police.
The act caught most people who wanted to gain entry to the stadium off guard and resulted to injuries and they were rushed to Kericho County Referral Hospital on board station motor vehicle and county government ambulances
After getting them to hospital, four women women were confirmed dead
Among those hurt were three police officers one of them reported to have had a right leg fracture, as another has a cut over his right eye, and third has a head wound.
Equally two community health promoters had injuries as one of them had a neck injury as another one had suffered back and left leg injuries.
More reports indicate that there are some soft tissue damage in four of the 13 victims who were involved in the stampede.
Others had injuries on backs, legs, shoulders, and chests of the others were hurt.
Those who got injured range in age from 17 to 67.
